Sailing Somewhere

We are still in Bonaire and will probably be here for a couple more weeks. We've completed our Advanced Diver Course and now we're working on our Rescue Diver Certification.

We've completed the course work and passed the exam so now it's just a matter of doing the in-water portion of the course.

The dive shop is very busy between cruise ships and holiday travelers, so we'll have to wait a bit to be scheduled for what we hear is a physically demanding and exhausting couple of days. We'll be up for it. We certainly have learned a lot.

Meanwhile, we have been getting in a lot of dives on our own in this amazing diver's paradise. We were able to record our 100th dive in our log books on Christmas morning! I've taken a lot of video that I need to sort through, but the latest one I have added is the experience we had with helping a hawksbill turtle who had gotten tangled in fishing line.

We had a fantastic Christmas dinner onboard s/v Somewhere with our friends, Eda and Keith who are sailing on s/v Cheers. It was a great day and we were fortunate to be able to share some of the day through the magic of technology with our family back home.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and we wish you all the best in the New Year!
